Pretty much, the AI thing is just fluff to market their products to repressive regimes like the gulf states. What’s AI going to do aside from search key terms, a technology that’s existed since the days the CIA had oracle create databases.
Tech feudalism isn’t going to be advanced like bladerunner or some shit like that. It’s going to be gadgets breaking, data centers taken over by 19 year olds leaking information, self driving cars driving into poles, etc. We can simply just choose to avoid it, but fanboys and losers will propel us into this mediocrity.
