I’ve been wanting to try to leave Windows for Linux, but I just can’t find a replacement for AutoHotkey that can do everything that it can. It would have to be some kind of weird combination of various Python libraries, AutoKey, and Espanso, and even then it’s either not as easy or downright convoluted at best.

I also can’t find any FOSS image editor that can do this.

Well, there was an article I read elsewhere on Lemmy that said that FOSS is an enemy of capitalism by being a cheaper competitor, so capitalist dogs may try to attack FOSS developers’ resources and willpower to keep going so they can funnel all of us users over to their paid products.

Looks like it’s leagues better than It Takes Two (which had such a disappointing, lackluster ending)!

Right, I forgot about that one… Haven’t tried it yet. Come to think of it, Soldat was also shareware, and I sunk hundreds of hours into it.

Hmm, I guess I got around those issues:

1. I don’t use user profiles but rather the container tabs.
2. I use an AutoHotkey script that redirects all new windows and tabs to a local note-taking screen.
3. The omnibar was easy enough to spot in its settings. That sure was a bit of a blast from the past to see, though!
