I like gaywallet. I’ve known it for quite a long time, actually. Some of my first interactions with it were what feels like a lifetime ago on Reddit. We kind of fell out of touch, but I was delighted to find it here.

It’s always been a level headed individual. Reserved for the most part, and that post is no different. Oh, it most certainly has a dry sense of humour (and should let it show a bit more!), but I appreciate the dedication to being a damn good (and fair) mod/admin.

Also, if it’s reading this: bbhh

Tolerance of intolerance breeds intolerance. It’s well past time to be ‘nice’ to Nazi Fascist fucks. No tolerance for bigots.

This is not the time to be nice. It’s not even the time to be angry.

Either we do something drastic that would completely take us out of our comfortable chairs and houses, or we watch as democracy and the rule of law gets dismantled, piece-by-piece.

I agree, but if we let this sentiment bleed over and begin infighting with our allies and accomplices we weaken the coalition we need to fix this. Don’t let them blunt your ability to organize. Fascism thrives when we self-isolate and drive ourselves and each other apart

Too late. We do that to ourselves every election.

Meanwhile, our enemies have no problem voting in unison.

I believe that it’s vanishingly rare for it to be “too late” for anyone to change their behavior, on an individual level. If we can recognize the challenge, we can amend our approach and work to bring others into the fold. I’m still grieving as well, but defeatism will only strengthen their position by weakening ours.

You don’t need permission to lead. But Bernie’s MO is to say good things then hope others DO them. He likes being the outsider with no responsibility or dirt thrown his way from trying to get things done.

Huh? He entered the primary twice so he was definitely trying to get things done but there’s only so much you can do in a corporate-controlled senate.

Our prophet in the wilderness, telling us the way we should go.

(It’s a quote from Barack Obama from the last election iirc)
