You make a fair point but it’s not all doom and gloom. Custom ROMs are a great to way to boost an old phone and run it a bit longer. Your use cases are definitely not mine hence I had a great experience using custom ROMs for the past 4yrs. Agree on it being a time taking process.

Afaik new feature in android 15

Edit: Nvm, just read the article, apparently a feature in latest OneUI. So unless you use Samsung you wouldn’t know it. That aside, with android 15 you will get some sort of “feature” which discourages sideloading.
