IMO there is a mismatch of users and articles posted. I assume most users are from the US and according to the IEA only 10% of Global EV sales are from there compared to 25% in Europe and 60% in China. This is the same issue you see in reddit on /r/electricvehicles , /r/cars or even /r/android.

Isn’t the 4680 just the shape of the battery? I guess the disadvantage is that it is round and harder to assemble into a pack unlike prismatic batteries.
IMO current lithium iron phosphate tech is better suited for most consumers compared to the nickel manganese cobalt based 4680 Tesla uses.
