The steam controller was (and still is) fantastic. I once got a comfortable binding for the original System Shock, which already has a pretty untenable control scheme with a keyboard and mouse. Also its haptic feedback can play music.

I can’t stand the woke mob catering to people’s allergies. Back in my day we would just suck it up and die.
“It’s simple biology” mfs when the biology is complex.
Yeah that’s it, thanks
Where’s that iPhone comic about society
I mean I’m all for calling out companies pulling shady stuff, but it just loses it’s value when you do it for every little thing no matter how innocuous it is.
It’s not limited to Lemmy either, everyone compailed about their new simplified logo, thinking that the general Firefox brand logo would become the Firefox browser logo.
There’s already a location service for the browser you can turn on or off, this doesn’t add any tracking that wasn’t already there.
I swear every time Mozilla does anything people find some way to be negative about it.
Some good news for once
Oof that party split.
Bro wtf, I think it’s dumb not to vote too but you’re gonna call for eugenics? Even in the most generous interpretation where that’s a joke, you’ve gotta realize how bad a look that is.
Of all the things to take from windows, this is one of the better ones. Especially if it gets more info in the future. For less tech-literate users, a screen like this is a lot better than a hard to read dump to a terminal.
Oh neat, thanks for the explanation! That makes sense as most of my crt exposure for the past 10 years has been classroom TVs and museum exhibits.
Idk if it’s just me but I have pretty good hearing, so I can hear the high pitch tone CRTs make and it drives me crazy.
I can do what I can but a lot is out of my control. I can’t change laws or help people far away. Except of course by voting and donating, but I only have so much money. I’d rather prevent the possible harm to people as much as possible, rather than have to try to stop things after they’ve gone bad. And in terms of prevention, I don’t have a plan b.
Ok so what’s the plan b?
It’s not because the land-focused voting system we have favors republicans, not to mention gerrymandering.
Also I swear you’ve forgotten 2020. The same fucking thing happened, people didn’t want to vote for a moderate democrat, and so a racist, abusive fascist got elected instead.
So you know you can do an easy action to make some people’s lives better, to delay fascism, and save minorities from a plan to essentially wipe them out, but you won’t because of principles? Because of some notion that the Democratic party will learn from losing?
You know that they lost in 2020 to a fascist. This already happened and the result was 4 years of hell for every minority group in the country. Why do you think this would be any better, or accomplish anything?
I’ve played lot of slower paced first person games with them. It also feels really nice in games with inventory screens and other mouse-focused ui. I never really tried to get used to them though, they just kind of clicked with me.
