A frustratingly empty article. Why are they struggling to “make ends meet”? What ends? If it’s housing, this is a housing story. If it’s high auto loan debt, that’s a mother matter. If it’s not housing and it’s accrued consumer debt, that’s a different matter.
They never say, so there isn’t much to conclude from this piece.
I’ll have to give that one a try!
Pax Imperia: Eminent Domain. Quite a learning curve, but I loved the different ways you can win (conquest, trade, black ops) and how much you could customize your ships or pick unique races with tolerances for different planets.
omg YES. Nothing I have found since then has quite scratched the same itch of flying around with a friend on some random dude’s server. So much fun!
Here’s some background on the tensions and policies that have led to anti-avocado militias in some regions of Mexico:
Puppy was going to me my suggestion too, before I read that you’d already used it. Maybe try some of the other versions? If you used a Debian- or Ubuntu-based Puppy, you could try a Slack-based one, or vice-versa. Puppy’s organization is a little confusing, in my opinion, but it does give a user some options. You also might try some of the “puplets” that aren’t official Puppy distros but are part of the Puppy family.
For real? I’m definitely seeing more teenagers on ebikes where I live. Which kind of impresses me, actually, because my community isn’t exactly a bike-friendly place. Honestly, some of the teens are kind of punks who are a bit annoying, or cut across the lawns of businesses or churches when they shouldn’t, but it sure is a cheaper way to get around and it’s less dangerous to other people on the road than if they were driving cars.
Justice Sotomayor is the greatest risk, and she could have engineered her exit earlier this year. Remember that in November. Dems aren’t even playing the same game.
I had one of these plans for over a decade. It was fun while it lasted—I won’t be staying with the company after this.
Trees might drop very hostile acorns
I wish I didn’t know exactly to what you referring.
Link for anyone who hadn’t heard this ridiculous story:
I’ll just add that both officers were such bad shots that they missed the man handcuffed and strapped down in the back of their own squad car. smdh.
Any department that actually buys one of these turkeys is going to be very unhappy about the maintenance costs. Can’t park under trees, can’t let it get rained on, and if you’re in a medium-speed accident, the lack of crumple zone will injure your officers at higher rates.
I thought the allegations were that the Alitos were using the extra security officers given to them as part of the intimidation. Armed officers are always a danger.
The NYC/MTA budget was calculated based on congestion revenue. The budget hole this creates is a huge problem. This was a capitulation that probably won’t win Gov. Hochel any votes, but it certainly will throw NYC tax and budgets in disarray. Twenty-five years in the making, and she chickens out 3 weeks before. I’m just shaking my head.
Good point. As I understand it, the Cybertruck’s stock tires are not, in fact, a good tire choice.

Who else watched this and thought of the jailbreak scene at the beginning of The Goonies?
I’m fine with this, particularly since you can just tick the box and still access them. Linux Mint is such a good gateway for new Linux users, it makes sense to hide unverified flatpaks until they understand the risks. Plenty of people (perhaps myself included) won’t ever need to worry about unverified flatpacks if their needs are simple and they don’t add much beyond the standard software.
National Tea Appreciation Day, anyone?
How much of the increased price of fast food is because restaurants have to pay workers more than $7.25/hour now? It seems like the entire business model of cheap fast food was premised on low-quality food and labor costs so low that most fast-food workers qualified for public assistance. Leaving aside the low-quality oligarchical food product industry and just looking at the labor side, it’s still a failure. And a business model that relies on food stamps and welfare for its employees really isn’t a business model.
Yes please!
