Issue is the Tories have tanked the economy and cut taxes, so Starmer’s got fuck all money without raising taxes (unpopular, even though I think it’s the right thing to do). Post election and with a massive amount of political capital to spend, I think we will see tax rises on those that can afford it, to help fix some of the damage.

For what it’s worth, I think it’s an excellent horror novel told from the perspective of an unreliable narrator.
I would not describe it as a great romance novel.

I don’t think anyone is telling you that you have to find her attractive? It’s more a complaint at those people who say that she’s unrealistic as a love interest and that no-one could be attracted to her, which is simply hypocritical misogyny.
WRT the last paragraph, I’ve always liked James Joyce’s love letters. Sex and body image has become far too sanitised in media in my view.
