This is a pretty thoughtful response, I appreciate you taking the time write it. I agree in spirit with what AOC wants to accomplish. Some of those judges (Clarence Thomas) shouldn’t be anywhere near the Supreme Court. My fear is that this plan only works if the impeachments proceeding are successful, they manage to successfully replace the current justices with new ones, AND enact meaningful change in a short period of time to make that a situation like this doesn’t happen again. If they fail at any of these things, then the Republicans, who don’t respect precedent, process, or the rule of law, would just weaponize the impeachments to remove the justices and replace them with their own whenever they get a majority in government.

Biden is bad objectively, I don’t how you can look at him and say “wow, that’s a good president”. Despite his glaring flaws, he still preformed better than I expected, and he’s leagues above his opponent who also has glaring flaws, but 100x worse. It’s pretty sad that we’re in a position we’re these are options.

In my opinion, MAGA officially crossed the line from being a fringe political movement and into a genuine cult after 2020. It was pretty bad starting all the way back during his first campaign in 2015 and it got gradually worse over the years. However, during 2020 MAGA turned into an actual national security threat, not once, but twice. First, during the anti-vaxx shit were they literally denying the existence of the virus, or even worse, they were actively mocking the people who died, and then again after they lost the election and attempted the coup.

Any sane conservative who didn’t nope out pretty early on in his term distanced themselves after Jan 6th. The only people who still supported Trump after what he did were the ones that worshipped him. Since Jan 6, 2021 Trump’s MAGA consist of people who will follow him no matter what, will listen to whatever he says no matter how false or dangerous, and will unironically want him as a dictator. I think the cult thing became most apparent when supporters were wearing diapers in a show of support for him… that’s so batshit crazy that it leaves me speechless.

No, I agree. I think for all his flaws, Biden has been a better president than expected. I’m just pointing out that there IS a lot to criticize Biden and the Democrats for. From running Biden a second time to not better executing the withdrawal from Afghanistan to placing restriction on how Ukraine could defend itself when Putin first invaded to not focusing on rebuilding their image in states like Florida or Ohio to not going at Republicans harder to a lot of Democratic politicians participating in insider trading… they’re not great. In fact they’re pretty bad. Are they as bad as the Republicans? No, of course not. But the statement that both parties in the country are bad does hold some truth to it.

They don’t happen during election years, they happen every year. That’s the thing with a two party system, a lot of people will disenfranchised from both parties. People who don’t support either candidate or either party are forced to pick between the lesser of two evils, and therefore will end up voting for a candidate that’s neither good or aligns with values.

Biden, or the left at large, isn’t immune to criticism just because Trump, or the right at large, is worse. Biden, the DNC, and the American left are pretty bad right now and deserve criticism even if Trump, the GOP, and the right are much worse. Saying both sides are bad doesn’t necessarily mean they’re equally bad.

Hillary is pretty divisive herself, and there was bound to be another Trump like candidate in the next election who would makes waves. Trump is a symptom, not the source

Those parties aren’t gaining ground because of Russia. Russia is definitely an influence, but they’re not the reason these parties are winning. They’re gaining ground because the establishment parties are failing people and these parties are the only alternative they have. We’ve seen such parties win in Italy, Switzerland, Sweden, Finland, etc but nothing really changed foreign policy wise.

This is pretty meaningless if it doesn’t include which levels are counted. Is this just congress? Is it the national level? Does this include the state and local levels? Without proper context this turns from an insightful piece of information to propaganda.

Actually I would argue that Marxism is even worse than fascism because Fascist know they’re evil and own it, but Marxists know they’re evil but pretend they’re humanitarians. It’s pretty sick. Also, looking at the theory of the ideology, it is inherently violent. This is reflected in history as tens of millions ended up being killed as a direct result Marxist violence and persecution in 20th century alone.

This argument is pretty dumb. If we follow this logic then American liberals are Marxist because American Marxists tend to support the DNC more often than not… But that’s obviously not true, and American liberals don’t support such an evil ideology.

If we follow the logic in a different route and assume that 9 racists are sitting on a table with a civil rights activist, they’re all civil rights activists… But that doesn’t sound right, does it?

Let’s try another attempt, if 10 world leaders are in a conference somewhere. Of those leaders, 9 are liberals from democratic countries and one is a dictator, does that make all 10 of them dictators? Of course not.

The issue with this type of argument is that it’s based on guilt by association, not even that actually, it’s more of guilt by proximity. This is a logical fallacy for all the reasons stated in this article:
