My xgf was working at Terwilliger in Portland and they charged like $22 per hour for the residents and paid out $11 to people who had the most insane CNA job. 24 hour shifts by YOURSELF? She had to lift people 3 times her size in some cases. Residents paid $10k per month at the time. That was minimum. This was Portland of all places. Where are the worker protections? Why is that place making money hand over fist with bare minimum staffing? Portland isn’t all that progressive when it comes to workers rights and protections unless that’s changed over the past 14 years.

They literally built their engine from scratch. How much do you all think that costs? Wasn’t Starfields improved engine like 8 years and $1bn in the making?

And look at THAT game.

When 4.0 releases I am sure it will be solid. The game as it is right now is visually amazing. It’s a dream to be able to take your ship from port to planet. Mining is enjoyable. Pirating is fun. Flying is great, combat is cool. Spacewalking is cool, and also salvage. It’s just like being in space as I would imagine it.

It’s not finished for sure but I can see where it’s going and I like it.

The for profit model was probably created by idiots. Just because something like the market and economy are complex doesn’t mean it was put together by smart people.
