Realised my jellyfin lxc had a maxed out bootdisk yesterday, haven’t been using it for a while. Luckily I have decent backups setup so I was able to restore a backup from late January when it wasn’t filled yet. A quick library rescan and everything was up and running again.
It’s more of a “we want to make sure that this user we’re inviting would be a good member i.e. good ratio/not selling invites”

Backups are great for digital files yeah… Are you actually running your notes through a copier twice every time you change something important and running one of the copies to external storage?
Not sure if blocking/whitelisting providers is even feasible. Just about every big company uses VPN to let employees connect to the intranet

There’s also syncthing, which allows syncing a folder… Hell theres even a git plugin to bypass obsidian sync, so you can get version controlled notes (which might be desirable in a work setting)

The costs you have to look out for are the buy and withdrawal fees of the crypto exchange you’re using. If you’re in the EU you should also know a lot of platforms do not allow trading to/from XMR.

The gold standard for anonymous payments is still crypto for now, monero can’t be tracked in any way. Besides, it has really low transaction costs.

Not really 100% legal, but seeing as the scripts have been available on a M$ platform without being taken down it’s pretty safe to assume M$ doesn’t care. (They make their money from enterprise customers anyways)

I mean the criticism against Cloudflare is 100% valid. Having a single service be the single point of failure for half the web, not to mention that they can read the contents of every single request they proxy, is a terrible joke.
But the service they provide is real. A small business/service just doesn’t have the capabilities to handle a DDoS attack. And every minute their site is down means lost customers/users.
