Guns are harder to buy = fewer guns sold = fewer guns made = fewer guns available for psychopaths, it’s really not hard at all
You assuming these people would get around a background check based on absolutely nothing is not the rock-solid argument you think it is and it’s certainly not justification to continue to do nothing to stop people slaughtering toddlers.
I’m not making an assumption about how criminals obtain guns. That’s just statistics. They either buy them before they have a record or they steal them. I suppose some percentage is private sales done on the DL.
Take guns away from psychopaths and they’ll switch to explosives. I think we should focus on the psychopaths instead of the tools that they’re using.

Why does it have to be one or the other? What makes you think there’s only one solution to this very complex problem?
