Can any straight man here explain what they like and why they like boobs so much? Like, what makes them attractive and why? Is it the size? Shape? Or The way they jiggle?

We are a stupid neural network trained to detect fertile partners of a specific sex. Ever wondered why so many girls try to oversaturate, say, their naturally ever so slightly brighter lip color? Everything mass beauty industry does is taking male/female characteristics and dialing them up to eleven.

All to make our mating radar detect the gender from as many yards away as possible.

    Being animals sucks. =/

Boobs look like they’re drops of water, just about to drip. So there’s a certain anticipation there. Our brains are wired to predict where action and movement is going to be.

That is the first time i’ve heard that. Not sure about it, but sounds like it could be true. Interesting nonetheless.

I try to avoid paying them any attention unless someone wants me to look at or touch them thanks to the implication. Most of the time it’s just a place where I shouldn’t look, so it gets a little awkward in my head when someone has on a graphic tee that I want to read or look at.

Something to work around most of the time, but then can make a partner happy when they are appreciated as themselves when vulnerable enough to bare that much, which adds a little special dynamic that gets the brain chemicals doing their thing.

i wouldn’t say i like boobs. I don’t go out of my way to look for them. for me, its about if my partner finds something pleasing during a intimate moment.

Not straight, and not a man, but I just think they’re neat! There really doesn’t need to be a “why” to attraction, sometimes your brain just sees something and goes “yes”

Honestly? I often ponder this. It’s amusing when you consider how enamored we are with bosoms.

I’ve heard it described that “Woman is the most beautiful shape in the human consciousness.” And that stuck with me.

My wife often catches me gawking and thinks it’s weird but I’m just like “You’re just amazing. All of you. Everything about you.” I feel like an idiot because I can’t explain what the heck I actually mean.

It’s just hard to fathom how a single being can be so… naturally aesthetic!

Women are just awesome. As a visual artist myself, I totally understand the compulsion to depict cute/pretty/happy/sexy ladies all the time. Heck, some artists do this exclusively. Variety is the spice of life, artists, but I get it. 😂

I think we’re coded to enjoy rounded elegant shapes, but there’s something enchanting about femininity as a whole, and boobs and butts signal “feminine!!” to our brains.

Also I’d say size and such really doesn’t matter. I think the really fascinating thing is the sheer variety, to the point they’re unique to the woman as an individual person. And it has nothing to do with biological essentialism! (Tiny boobs are just as good at feeding young as ginormous ones)

It’s also a bit cultural, I think. They’re so obvious, yet hidden in polite company. So seeing them exposed feels like you have an intimate window into this person’s world, and you feel special for the privilege, I suppose.

Lol now I feel like a weirdo, typing this all out. Does that help? LOL

    Gay woman

Small ones are cute and bite sized, big ones are squishy pillows. Regardless of size, they’re all soft and cute.

More or less an instinct I think. That is how I was able to tell I was starting puberty, that I started to imagine and want to see and touch naked breasts of the women and girls around me. I myself didn’t have an explanation why, but that was now more than half my life ago and it hasn’t stopped.

I don’t have strong preferences as to shape and size. Small breasts are still breasts.

I think there’s a similar attraction to all erogenous areas, but due to cultural reasons breasts are ones that are always covered and their uncovering signals intimacy.

Favoring big breasts is mostly a cultural thing with some links to biological instincts that I wouldn’t give much weight to.

“Jiggling” transfers information about their structure and your brain can create a model on their “feel” without touching.

Of the erogenous zones, breasts are the ones you can see most often. It may be different in the US, but where I grew up, topless sunbathing is quite a thing and I even saw a lot of boobs in shower soap commercials at 6pm on public TV as a kid. When my kids were babies, my (now ex-) wife would also just nurse them on a park bench - which also I isn’t unusual.

Humans are the only mammals with boobs that stay “inflated” without childbirth or breastfeeding involved.

The theory is that it’s an evolutionary selection, and the hypothesis is it’s an aesthetic choice that keeps reinforcing itself (a positive feedback loop) and now it’s HotWired in our brains.

The way i personally see it though, just like how i like certain types of food without a proper explanation to why, i also like boobs.

There’s also the idea it’s connected to being breastfed as a baby which brings back all those warm and safety feelings with them. That doesn’t explain why most women (I speculate) aren’t as into boobs as the average guy. That said, I’ve met multiple women, some straight, who also found boobs very fascinating. So maybe they get the same warm and safety feelings minus the sexual attraction?

id like to know the genetic trait that causes some boobs to be big and some to be small…if it was for aesthetics why wouldn’t they all be one uniform size or very close?

You might be on to something. I was not breast fed, and I’m not a boob person in particular.

Now we have to wait for another anecdote from someone that was breastfed.

I was not breastfed as well (as couldn’t even digest my mother’s milk), still I like boobs very much. I find them very beautiful - and also like different forms and sizes.

I only don’t like boobs with silicone implants, they’re not soft and cuddly.

It’s not complicated. If you’re straight, secondary sex characteristics differentiate the opposite sex for you. This is also why men like wide asses–widening of the hips for women is a secondary sex trait.

Women also exhibit this attraction. Conventionally attractive men have square jaws due to more muscle produced from testosterone. They also tend to have facial hair and more muscle definition, all of which are secondary sex traits from testosterone production. Increased height is also an indicator.

I’m not a scientist. But it seems we’re coded to find sexually mature people attractive and those signifiers tend to be secondary sex traits.
