    Good for you. Personally, I can’t stand living in the city nowadays. I certainly can’t justify that rent.

      Right now, due to how long I have been there, I am paying less for a 3 bedroom apt than one would for a 1 bed or bachelor

          Rental, we have “some” protections for long term renters (note my instance :) ) like limited increases each year. I have only signed a lease to move in, after the year (normal) or 2 (we negotiated for 2 years to cut even more off the rent in my 20s it was a 3 bedroom garden home for less than 2 bed apts at the time) it goes month to month (still need notice to leave on good terms) with a yearly increase, limited to a max unless there is a good reason, then they go to the landlord tenant board (or was it the Rental Tribunal) and show why they need to increase it more than the allowed limit.
