In isolation it would be fine, but with their ignorance, these types punish and harm their families, mainly their children, who would otherwise just grow up to cut contact with them anyway, long as they didn’t end up sharing their views. Plus when it’s disease, they just have to walk near a person who isn’t another conservative to spread it. As we learned from covid, the best person to be wearing the mask is the sick one, and they don’t play along.
The more deadly pseudoscience that spreads the fewer conservatives there are in America, so I can’t say I mind stuff like this too much.
