Different elements emit different colored like, the same way different materials burn different colored flames. Same reason, same colors.

Yes. I used to live in Alaska but moved some time ago. These look to me like I remembered seeing them. Different elements emit different colored like, the same way different materials burn different colored flames. Same reason, same colors.
The picture is pretty close to what we saw by the naked eye.
