Companies greed has no end.
And people fight with me to no end that high prices and fully stocked shelves are incongruent.
It’s just fucking greed.
The “developed” world throws away more than half of all food and clothing it produces/imports. Simply because it wouldn’t be as lucrative to give away the excess or lower prices. They could do both those things to mitigate waste, but waste isn’t punished so they ignore it.
What motivation does any company have to tell the truth these days…lies aren’t met with any penalties or consequences.
Basically never trust a company, CEO, or executives. Their job IS to lie to everyone.
But those stern talking too’s and the finger wagging and the minuscule financial penalties surely must convince them to not break the law anymore. Right?
But I was told the free market and competition would keep them in check, what gives CEOs?
If only publicly traded companies were required to disclose information that would prove this. Oh yeah, they are, and it does. All the years the Dems were in power
You write “the 4 months of the last 480 where the Dems weren’t blockaded by Republican control of house, Senate, courts, or all three” a little weird.
But in those 4 months we got Obamacare, watered-down and weakened and toothless, but it was a hard-won great start to things that unfortunately took most of those excellent months to accomplish.
