Reducing the pay and benefits of your best computer programmer/IT person is not a good move, anon.
Who’s saying it’s their best programmer/IT person? It could very well be their head of HR or legal counsel.
It’s an in joke and a genuine trend that there’s a large overlap between programmers/IT and trans women.
Be sure to mansplain things to her, too. Oh, “mansplaining” is when you assume they are ignorant about a topic and start explaining it as if they are clueless.
