Dogs can make anyone sort of likeable
It’s true, although I’ll say Bush 41 was far more tolerable than either Republican president who came before or after him. His policies were still Republican bullshit, but he was neither batshit crazy nor stupid.
I’ll also point out here that we recently had a president with no pets at all, and let you draw your own conclusions.
